About Robin
Originally from Detroit and Northport, Robin follows in the tradition of singer‐pianists Shirley Horn, Diana Krall and Blossom Dearie with original arrangements of time honored jazz standards such as those heard on her CD, A Beautiful Friendship. Honing her craft for over a decade in New York City at places such as The Waldorf-Astoria and The Rainbow Room, she brings the sophistication of The Great American Songbook to life in her own charming way. An accomplished musician, Robin is the 2016 ArtPrize winner for Best Jazz Composition and appears regularly throughout Michigan with her own groups and as a sidewoman.

On the summer jazz faculty at the Interlochen Arts Camp from 1990 to 2009, Robin continues teaching in Grand Rapids and traveling as guest artist and clinician/adjudicator at jazz festivals and schools.
