The Stonecutter's Aria with author Carol Faenzi

Carol_Faenzi_Stonecutters_Aria.jpg

Carol Faenzi’s love affair with Italy began when she traveled with her grandmother to their ancestral homeland in Tuscany.   There she learned from her grandmother through stories, cooking and listening to Pavarotti. Years later she traveled to Italy again, taking her grandmother’s journals with her and writing down her stories.

Carol is the author of the award-winning book, The Stonecutter’s Aria and the Etruscans.  She will speak about the marble quarries of Carrara, the composers Puccini and Verdi and her personal journey of discovery in writing about her family and their emigration from their Italian homeland to the United States.
